So, it's St Christopher's 50th anniversary this year and so a Golden Ball was held last night at the Crowne Plaza hotel - a fabuous night, and a wonderful afternoon before hand getting pedicures/manicures/hair done with my friends.
Yes....note to self, wear a blue bra with a blue dress...
So, we left at 6.45pm to make the ball for 7.15. At 8:30, we were still stuck in traffic. Demonstrations everywhere, roads closed, police everywhere meant for a very very long journey.
We did get there eventually after being stuck in the taxi cab for over two hours....Andrew had to jump out and have a wee behind some sand dunes midway! If only we'd brought some drinks with us we coud have had a party in the cab!
