Andrew and I bought each other bikes for Christmas, as well as Santa bringing the girls bikes also. A couple of weekends ago, we all went biking through the camel farm and plantations towards the beach - Juliette has just learned how to ride two wheels, but is still shaky, so she side-saddled my bike bar to go on this excursion with our friends, which was brilliant for the majority of our trip until on the way back, her foot got caught up in the spokes of my wheel and OUCH! I thought I'd broken her ankle and mangled her foot, but luckily, just a sprain and large bruising and swelling and some badly scraped skin....she was very lucky.
She is now even more determined to practice her two wheel riding - at the moment she can start, ride, and turn, but she can't stop by herself....more practice is needed!
Two weeks later and the bruise is almost gone, the scrape has dried up and she is walking well on her little skinny-super-model legs!
