The shippers/movers came in on Monday, and moved 14 cubic metres of our stuff off our hands - we are leaving with yet More stuff! How is this possible?!!! We got rid of heaps, and seem to not be taking as much as we came with, but we are 3 cubic metres more!! Oh well.
The house is a vacant, empty, echoey shell.
Very sad.
The night the movers left, the girls resorted to playing with torches as dolls....that was, until they found the no-so-well-hid hand luggage bag I'd kept some holiday toys in for them. Oh well. Teach me to hide things more carefully!
We're off to Bali tomorrow for a few days - very excited.
Found out today where we'll be living in Bahrain - if anyone is interested, this is the website:

It looks great - we will be in a three bedroom villa, and we have already interviewed via skype and now organised a Filipino nanny for the girls, who will live in a maid's 'quarters' (that sounds so horrible) at the back of the villa. We needed someone who can drop and pick them up from school and look after them till we get home as they are on a different campus to us.
The compound has two other new families coming to work at the school living there, so things sound great.
The school have organised a hire car for us for the first month and also asked if we would like them to stock us up with alcohol, as when we arrive, it will be Ramadan! How great is that?
Things seem to be coming together nicely.
It is all very exciting, but we are also very sad about leaving here. Mixed emotions all around.
