We held it on Easter Saturday - and what a blooming fantastic blast it was! No idea how many people came, but I went through 75 plastic plates in the first hour of serving all the food, so we must have had a fair few. As it started early, it did mean that past about 9pm, there were only about 15/20 or so people left who were the party animals, but it was fantastic!
We started off very civilised.
Past 9pm, the hours blurred into each other and before we knew it, it was 2am and we were waving the last few guests into their taxi.
We had mojito cocktails galore, and then decided to do tequila shots to give people the confidence to sing karaoke - what a hoot that was! Mixed in with dancing and solving thre problems of the world (as you always do after a few). It was such fun.
The above pics are mostly from about 5pm, when things were very civilised, although there was, at one point, so many people it became a little manic!
A few pics of the karaoke - it was so much fun, although the lady next to me in one of the photos ended up in tears as one of our friends asked her if 'she could read?' as after glass after glass of mojitos, she really was a little (a lot) unsteady on her feet and was completely unable to read the words off the screen!
Our best mate Stuart even dressed up to sing his song!
Our lovely friend Emma baked Green cupcakes for Andrew. Ahhhhhh!
