So we did.
Then, amazingly, I remembered to wake up at 5am to put out all the eggs on the table for everyone, before crawling back into bed, head thumping for another couple of hours till the girls woke up.
Juliette was good - she woke up at 8.45am bouncing around the bed asking if the Easter Bunny had come, so of course, that was it. We were up, and the girls delighted in the fact that they had numerous eggs from the Bunny.
Our friend from Saudi (ex-colleague from Taiwan) had made it over for the party and stayed the night so she was witness to the Easter morning festivities. (Grandad wasn't quite up yet....!)
So, as in the family tradition, we all had chocolate for breakfast, before getting ready to go out for Easter Sunday lunch at The Dilmun. Feeling rather rough, but hey!
I didn't manage to capture many pics of our fun at the Dilmun, but it was a wonderful afternoon, lots of delicious food and some hair of the dog and a swim at the pool. We had a table of 18 - just our close friends and kids. It was lovely.
Last night we had an early night!
I got the girls up early this morning to take them to the movies to see the Easter movie 'Hop' with friends Rachel & Jamie and their daughters. It was a wonderful movie, where the kids consumed buckets of popcorn and slushies, followed by pizza and milkshakes and then Juliette honoured us by throwing it all up just as we were leaving the restaurant!
Far too much excitement for a little four year old!
She bounces back easily though and as soon as we came home, she was off for a swim with Grandad!
Tomorrow, it's jabs for the kids (Menigeccocal or somehting like that, and Hep A for Juliette) - fun hey?!
And weheyyyyyyy! It's Anne-marie's birthday as well! We'll call you tomorow!
