We stayed in the most beautiful hotel - The Crystal Hotel in Gumusluk - an all inclusive hotel which meant that once in, all food, snacks, drinks, alcohol, entertainment etc eat free 24 hours a day. It was fabulous. After our short stay in an all inclusive in Greece a couple of years ago, we vowed that whilst the kids were young, this was the best type of holiday as we don't waste so much money on food that is not eaten or half-drunk drinks and Andrew can drink as much beer as he likes! The rooms were great - a double bed, with two singles, a table and chairs and a lovely balcony overlooking the courtyard and sea.
Our hotel cleaners always decorated the bed with flowers and sheet shapes!
WE ate breakfast, lunch and dinner overlooking beautiful views of our peninsula. The food was great - lots of fresh salads and breads and chicken and fish and beef.
There were two pools. An infinity pool above, with spectacular views to the sea at one end. The only problem was it was 5ft 6inches deep across the whole of it and so it was pretty tiring as I couldn't touch the bottom and stand up in the pool. The kids still had heaps of fun - they swim like fishes and we bought them rings to float on when they got tired!
Every night there was entertainment of some kind. Starting at 9pm, there was a mini disco for the kids - they looked forward to this everyday. Then this was followed by comedy shows, or Turkish nights, or karaoke etc then followed by an adults disco. The entertainers were great and so friendly. They fell in love with our kids and made evenings much easier as we didn't have to worry about entertaining them! The hotel even had a kids club with activities for the kids which we used a couple of times.
The girls got Henna one day by the pool - it is the darkest Henna I have ever seen, but regular pool use meant that it didn't last very long!
