So, yesterday afternoon after school we had a 'drink all the booze in the bar party' and 'bring a dish from the country you're going to' party, mixed in with 'watch the American Idol final' party. It was a great, boozy afternoon, the last people leaving just after 11pm so not a bad effort. Andrew was completely wasted.
I have been up since 8am with the girls and have spent most of the morning cleaning up the devastation....only to find we have actually ended up with more spirits than when we started! People must have brought their stuff as well! DOH!!
We had Japanese sushi and sashimi, New Zealand roasted sweet potatoes, Tunisian beef salad, American artichoke hot dip, Middle Eastern chicken and date tangine and Lentil dhal (I made them), Polish strawberry dumplings, Vietnamese spring rolls, Chinese something or other (!), Indonesian sweets and savoury snacks, Kenyan chicken yellow curry.....all pretty yummy!
It was a great night.
Although Annalise has been sick the past few days. (notice the right side of her face?) We ended up at the hospital with her yesterday during school....more on that to follow.
