Andrew's St Paddy Birthday!

So....how I wish I could write what an amazing Green Party we had and all that Jazz, but the truth is, Andrew's birthday was short and very much like any other day really, except for some cake.

I feel bad, even though Andrew still seems to think he had a lovely day, but when your birthday is on a school day, and the kids are asleep when you leave and then you work late and have loads of work to do at home, and are broke, there's not much your family can do to make it very spectacular!

Annalise, was, of course, incredibly excited all day and helped me make a green (in honour of St Paddy) lemon cheescake (because that's Andrew's favourite cake)!
We also made cards and bought him some different varieties of special beers and Annalise rang him at work and sung Happy Birthday to him and then when he eventually came home, helped him blow out all his candles. (Because there are rather a lot of them!!) Then the girls went to bed!

Then we had lasagne and salad for dinner and that was it!

Roll on next year, when hopefully, things are less stressful for Andrew at work and we have more free time, more money and the will to party on down!!!

We are going out to friends on Saturday night for a BBQ and belated birthday celebration, so our social life is not all that bad!
