Andrew and I had a lovely night out tonight....ended up in a Chinese restaurant called 'Duck King' - I thought the food was fine, but look at Andrew's face....needless to say, he didn't eat very much! (Everywhere was PACKED so this was our last choice....and being Chinese New year, felt right? Don't you agree?!)
The Peking duck pancakes were delicious, even though the ducks hanging from the kitchen window were a little off-putting....(sorry all you veggies out there.)
Then we had the usual trouble with the bill at the end....seems like an ongoing trouble here in Jakarta. Cards don't work, then they do, but you're charged three times, or they think when it says 'enter pin', they have to put in THEIR pin...Doh!! How many times has my card been cancelled or blocked.... it always has the same effect at the end of a great night out. Me being thoroughly peeeed off that I have to go home and ring the UK to sort out my credit card.
Ok! Off to bed!
It is my baby's last night of being 4.
Sniff sniff. My baby is not a baby anymore!
