Last week, during Eid, our friends Erin & Simon, from our time in Taiwan, drove down from Saudi to Bahrain. Not just to see us of course - but to escape the confines of Saudi life! Erin drove as much as she could, reveled in not having to wear the abaya and Simon partook in eating pork and drinking alcohol like the fishes.
So glad we are in a much more liberal country - amazingly, it is even more liberal than Dubai or Oman - you don't even need a booze license here!
Was great to see them.
