Retreat Was A Treat!

Just back from our all expenses paid for retreat to a beach resort very near to Krakatoa (although we didn't actually get to see the volcano which was a shame). The hotel was: http://www.patra-jasa.com/anyer/index.html

The resort was nice - but not as gorgeous as the website will pretend it is - but we had a good time regardless. It looked like it had ONCE been a very glam resort but looked a bit weathered - perhaps from the Tsunami, but it was fine and had everything we needed.

We arrived late Friday night, had a big buffet dinner, followed by Karaoke (Annalise was in her element!). Then off to bed as we had a big day the next day of work in the conference rooms. I won't bore you with work stuff, but we had a good time, got loads done, had some good social events and got to know the staff really well. My team building activities also went down really well so I was relieved.

All the staff kids were looked after by our Headmaster's nanny and two lovely school secretaries and they all seemed to have a good time. The beach was lovely and both girls adored splashing in the waves. The pictures above are of us at 6.30am this morning taking them for a little paddle. They are both such water babes! Andrew and I were feeling and looking a bit rough, but the girls were full of beans!

Finally took a few pics of our house - it's lovely to have so much space. None of the furniture is ours, but it's not too bad. Our shipping is actually finally in Jakarta - it's being cleared with customs as we speak but could be another couple of weeks before we get it.
