Went to a shopping centre here in Jakarta that is just THE most craziest mall you could ever believe - people who know Dubai, it's like Karama, on 5 floors with 10 times the amount of people on a Friday night. A very easy place to get shop rage and to survive it, you have to grit your teeth, get your elbows out and start shoving your way through the crowds. However, it is a fantastic place for fake designer goods and, as I found, a great place to buy new glasses. For the very expensive price of 12 pounds, you get a full on eye test, frames of your choice and lenses all ready within the hour.

So, if you ever need a gift and you happen to wear glasses, let me know your lens type, your style and colour for frames and voila!! I can make it happen!
They have all the fake designer label frames - I chose a very plain but nice pair of 'Rodenstock' semi-frameless frames - but they have basically anything you want!
And for 12 pounds, it doesn't matter if the kids break them by accident now like my last 150 pound pair! (And they were just plain Jane things!)
We also bought a fish tank and some gold fish and garami fish for the girls - they love it! (Again, very cheap - about 8 pounds for the tank and another 5 pounds or so for the fish, plants, pump, stones etc etc. It is currently sitting pride of place on our TV cabinet. I will try to post a photo of it asap.
Off to the resort tomorrow for a weekend of relaxing. Can't wait. Andrew is out with a high school social - he is head of Student Council here.
