So we had just the most amazing time away in Bali this week. Our hotel was magnificent - slap bang in Nusa Dua 5 star resort area but much cheaper than the surrounding hotels. It was a little more run down than the others, but more so because it was a hotel built in a more traditional Balinese style than the modern Hyatt, Westin or Hilton than anything else, so some of the buildings looked a little weathered from the outside - however, inside, they were beautiful.
Our hotel room was fantastic as it had two double beds, so plenty of room for a family of four. The plan of the girls sleeping in one and Andrew and I didn't quite work out though as most nights, Andrew got a whole bed to himself (lucky sod) and the two terrors cuddled in with me. So, as you can imagine, romance was NOT in the air at this hotel! Regardless, it was a wonderful, wonderful holiday.
The beaches were glorious - the first two days were hot but overcast, so perfect for the kids as they didn't complain too much about the burning sun. Thew rest of the holiday however, was bright blue skies, no clouds, simply gorgeous.
