Anne-marie & Pete's Anniversary

Anne-marie and Pete went to stay with friends for their anniversary on the 21st, so when they returned on the 22nd, I cooked them a celebratory roast turkey dinner, which, as it was such a lovely day, took place outside in the garden. It's funny how as I'm typing, and the weather is bloody cold and rainy and perfectly miserable, it's easy to forget that we actually have had some glorious days this English summer holiday.

Above, is Uncle Pete doing a Genghis Khan impression, Juliette wanting to, but not too sure about it, and a good old English sherry trifle that I made for dessert that was devoured by all!
