Our holiday in more detail part 1.

So, the main reason why we went on our hols to Majorca, was because of our close friends, Sharon, Wayne, Freya, Jasmine & Jonty - friends from Taipei. We went on holiday with them last summer, to Corfu for their wedding, and back in April, Sharon wrote to ask what we had planned this Summer and did we fancy going to Spain with them. Well, that was that! We booked our flights and Annalise, who is best friends with Freya (above) was sooooo excited. Freya & Jasmine though, didn't know we were coming and our first afternoon in Spain involved us meeting up with Wayne and him taking us up to their villa to surprise the girls. Yay! It was great. This family makes you feel like you've never spent any time apart. So nice.
Our first night, after a play at their villa, we went out to dinner together. In Spain ,we ate as the Spanish do, usually not eating until 10pm! So nights ended well past midnight most nights! Eeek!
The next day, we spent at our apartment swimming in the pool, making friends with other guests. By the end of the first day, Annalise was able to swim without floaties!!! Yay for Annalise! She asked for a swimming lesson from me and then she just took off! She does a strange mix of breaststroke and front crawl, but knows how to come up for air whenever necessary and each day we were there, improved ten-fold. What a star!
That night we went to our friends for a great BBQ. That was rather a late night - I think we rolled home in the wee small hours. All four girls and little Jonty got on like a house on fire and the girls begged for a sleepover. We decided we would plan one over the next few days.
Our third day we decided to go to our local beautiful little bay for swimming- the day before having been smooth as glass and turquoise calm waters - well, this day the waves were enormous and the sea was rather rough. However, we had a magnificent time, taking the girls into the deep waters and jumping up with the waves .....it was incredibly exhausting as well though!
Juliette would only go in on our shoulders, but Annalise and Freya were extremely happy to be taken in and get thrashed about by the strong waves. The sea is a miraculous thing...a great force upon you! We decided that we would have a sleepover at theirs this night, so we spent the rest of the day getting little sleepover cases ready (Juliette wanted us toi stay over too, just incase.)
Andrew and I went out for dinner that night sand then we went over to our friends house for the big 'sleepover'.
Annalise and Juliette enjoyed the joint storytelling and cuddling up, but as soon as the other girls were asleep, they came back downstairs to us!! The sleepover ended up with us sleeping wityh the girls in our room! I think it'll take a few more practices!
